The Game

Each Block Slider puzzle is made up of a square grid containing various color blocks arranged in random order, however, two blocks are always missing. A block can be moved by sliding it into any empty adjacent cell. The objective is to align same color blocks vertically so that they match the above arrow color.

Movement

Blocks can be moved with a finger slide into any adjacent empty cell, or with a simple tap. However, if a block is next to two empty cells, it can only be moved by sliding.

Scramble

The scramble button starts a new game with blocks rearranged in random order. The timer is reset to zero.

Resets

The reset button rearranges the blocks to the initial puzzle state and gives the player an opportunity to retry the same puzzle. The timer, however, does not reset to zero.

Undos

The last move is undone. This button can come especially handy if you find yourself with a puzzle that cannot be otherwise solved.

Continue Game

Block Slider automatically saves current game in progress upon exit. The Continue Game option allows resuming previously saved game. If there is no previously saved game, a new game is started.

Settings

The Settings option consists of Puzzle Settings and Sound Settings. The Start Game button starts a new game with the currently selected settings and ends current game in progress and removes previously saved game.

Sound Settings

The Sound Settings contains options and settings for background music and sound effects.

Double Blocks

Double blocks are rectangular shapes which are the same size as two vertically adjacent cells and cannot be broken into individual cells. Double blocks make the puzzle more difficult to solve.

Sticky

When this option is enabled, two or more blocks of the same color will join together when aligned vertically, forming a single conjoined block. Once joined, large blocks cannot be broken into smaller blocks. However, the Undo button can still be used to undo a sticky action. Puzzles with sticky mode enabled are especially challenging to solve.
